LONDON PREMIERE AT SADLER’S WELLS FOLLOWED BY UK TOUR

Critically-acclaimed Zulu ballet INALA, featuring live music by four-time Grammy Award®-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo and current and former members of the Royal Ballet and Rambert, will receive its London premiere at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London on 17 September for four nights, before embarking on a national tour covering nine venues, including Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, Cambridge Corn Exchange and Bristol’s Colston Hall.

The Sadler’s Wells performances and UK tour follow INALA’s sell-out success at Edinburgh International Festival where it received its world premiere in August at the Edinburgh Playhouse, receiving a fantastic response from audiences and critics alike

The production is the brainchild of British composer Ella Spira and First Artist of the Royal Ballet, Pietra Mello-Pittman, who are also joint producers. INALA, meaning ‘abundance of goodwill’ in Zulu, fuses western contemporary and traditional Zulu dance and music, to create a unique, immersive experience reflecting both cultures.
