The tale of the Sisters Grimm is one that leads from an ambitious composer and a ballerina to huge, stage productions, the Grammys and, they hope, the home of fantastical storytelling: Disney.
“The dream is to create a major stage work and do a screen adaptation with Disney,” says Ella Spira, a self-confessed obsessive of Snow White and co.
“It would have our ethos of song and movement inspired by folklore and legends but with new characters,” adds Pietra Mello-Pittman, finishing her business partner’s sentence, as the chirpy pair do repeatedly over lunch among the media luvvies in Covent Garden’s Hospital Club.
